Hello, hello everyone; I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.
A very brief update here. As many of you know, I signed a book deal late last summer (see below), and I’ve been spending almost all of my free time working on said book since moving to San Francisco.
Some News: I'm Writing a Book!
Welcome to Young Money! If you’re new here, you can join the tens of thousands of subscribers receiving my essays each week by adding your email below.
However, deadlines are real, I have more work to do, and between moving + a new job + plus my newsletter + a book, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to stay on top of it all. Something has to give. So, for the next couple of months, I’m stepping back from writing new newsletter pieces til this book is done.
I’ll still be active on the Substack app, as well as Twitter and Linkedin, and I’ll be back to blogging regularly again this summer. But for now, I need to focus my writing energy on cranking out more chapters.
If you want more of my writing in the meantime, I moved all of my old travel blog posts over to Young Money last week, under a separate tab called “Travel Blog,” which you can access at the top or bottom of my home page. A few years ago, I was sending weekly travel blog updates covering my shenanigans abroad to a group of ~600 readers, which means approximately 66,000 of you have not read most of those posts. So, if you want more Jack content while I’m incognito, I would start there.
Specifically, I would start with travel blog post number 1:
Pre-Travel Check
What is up internet. In about five hours, I’m flying one-way to Barcelona, Spain. One backpack, no itinerary, no plans. Just me, myself, and a trip around the world. Does this sound reckless? Maybe. Spontaneous? Definitely. Believe it or not, it’s also entirely calculated. So what gives?
All 50+ pieces are linked chronologically at the bottom of each post. Thank you for reading, and talk to you all soon!
- Jack
I appreciate reader feedback, so if you enjoyed today’s piece, let me know with a like or comment at the bottom of this page!
Sent in my first book a couple weeks ago. Good luck. The relief after is unmatched lol
